Easter Bonnets

We had a wonderful event on Saturday, March 19th at Southside/Polytechnic Lodge. Our Italian Holiday Event was attended by many. The food was delicious and the fellowship fun. We had a bake sale, Easter Hat contest and a Silent Auction. If you didn't make it, you missed a good time. Thanks to all that helped and thanks to all who attended. Past Matrons and Past Patrons of District 3, Section 1 are the best!!!! See you May 7th at Crowley Chapter.



This pair, Grand Conductress, Annette Curry and Worthy Matron of North Fort Worth, Doreen Carden, thought they were to cute for hats. Obviously they did not win, but they do look full. Must have been the Chocolate Pie our Grand Conductress bought!


One of our Winners, Virginia Strong won with her Incredible Edible Easter Hat. Just love those peeps! Congrats Virginia!



Another of our winners, Worthy Matron of Everman Chapter, Brenda Ruiz won the most Elegant Hat award. She is ready to go to the Royal Wedding in England. Congratulations Brenda!


Sandy Trimble, our host for the day won a hat award and I failed to get a photo of it. I am sorry Sandy. Congratulations to you!!

On this St Patrick's day, March 17th, corn beef and cabbage was served for dinner, along with some other goodies and some great desserts. Worthy Matron Terri Radliff and Worthy Patron Mel Seeling put on a good meeting for all. I believe they stated that 62 was in attendance. The skit was cute and our Worthy Grand Matron found the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

Dues are now due for 2011. The fee is $10.00, plase make checks payable to PM & PP association. Also if you list your chapter and nu,ber and who dues are for on your check or on a note. Our secretary would ever so happy.

Grand Conductress Honored


Sissy Furrie, Worthy Matron, Michael Lee Garrett, Tricia Henderson, Annette Curry, Grand Conductress and Steven Hays.



Michael Lee Garrett, Tricia Henderson, Steven Hays and Annette Curry, Grand Conductress. On March 5th, Wedgewod Chapter honored our Grand Conductress. Providing the entertainment was the Buttermilk Junction Band. They play music from the 1800"s mostly and some 1900 songs. Tricia Henderson is a member of South Fort Worth Chapter #835. The music was so delightful to listen to, Michael played the squeeze box and Tricia the Dulcimer and Steven the guitar and harmonica.

Honoring Grand Conductress


Our Grand Conductress, Annette Curry from District 3, Section 1 was honored on Feb. 24th at Bellmead Chapter. A delicious dinner was served and a wonderful meeting and program was given. Crescent's Memorable Meeting

What an exciting meeting in January for Crescent Chapter #820. An initiation was held and I was proud to be part of this night. Above you have some very proud parents and a very proud grandmother. Shayne Albrecht, son of our Grand Examiner District 3 Cheryl Albrecht and Worthy Patron Darrell Albrecht and grandson of our PGM Sharon Fentress was initiated. 4 generations of Eastern Star. So great to see the young generation join our order. Congratulations to Crescent Chapter and Congratulations to Shayne!!!!

Handley Happenings




Past Matron Jerre Miller from Handley Chapter #617. Jerre shows off her finished quilt. She was our DDGM from District 3 last year for PGM Bess Caldwell. Jerre received a quilt square from all 10 of her DGM from District 3. Thank you to all her girls for the wonderful quilt squares. Very beautiful Jerre, congratulations on a job well done!

Polytechnic Chapter and Toys for Tots

Worthy Matron Leisa Martin and Worthy Patron Dewey Teague and members from Polytechnic Chapter #420 took up a collection of toys for the Toys for Tots program. Above is a photo of the members and the representative from the United States Marine. South Fort Worth Chapter was grateful that Polytechnic asked them to help with this project.Great job! WM Leisa has decided this a project she wants her chapter to do every year.

Everman Chapter #624 Happenings

Everman Chapter #624 collected stuffed animals, tooth brushes, blankets, and toys to be used by the Fort Worth Police Department for children taken from their homes or in emergency situations. Our Worthy Matron Brenda Ruiz is very proud of her Chapter. They collected 133 packages for various ages that consisted of different items depending on the age. Ms. Morgan our contact with the Fort Worth Police Department was most appreciative for the items. Thank you Everman Chapter #624 for all the hard work collecting and putting this together. This is a great cause and you really stepped up.
